Learn how to use Wrye Bash to install your mods, a real good idea. Now go ahead and install OBSE, since it won't hurt anything and it will be there if you get a mod that needs it. Now start installing your other mods, and use BOSS to order them each time. Give it a test, it should work wonderfully. Now install your unofficial patch, and have BOSS order everything. Next, get BOSS from the Nexus forums and install it. It will put everything that matters back nice and clean, without installing the entire game again.
